JESS

Founder & Creative Director

Hello! My name is Jess. I graduated from Hofstra University with dual degrees: Dance and Information Technology. With JW Paper Creations I am able to combine my creative and tech background to design fun and new products! I love meeting new people and sincerely get excited when it comes to planning, organizing and helping others. My guilty pleasure is having a glass of wine while watching the Bachelor. I love to find joy in the small things, cleaning with Mrs. Meyers products, and believe laughter is the best medicine.

ED

Operations Director

Ed started as my boyfriend, became my fiancé and is now my hubby and business partner. As the Operations Director, Ed is in charge of the day to day and ensures business runs smoothly. He is not afraid to voice his honest opinion and truly pulls the best work out of me. He is an engineer by trade, and while sometimes annoying, it makes him extremely helpful when proofing designs for all those little details. Ed loves to watch college football and cheer for his beloved Penn State Nittany Lions! He enjoying playing golf and is a Costco enthusiast (though some may go as far as to say it’s an obsession).

JAKE

Chief of “Hooman” Resources

Jake ensures company moral is always high. He is often times found napping on the job or busy de-gutting his favorite toys. Jake reviews all final products before printing and distribution to provide his “paw” of approval. In addition to his very full napping schedule, Jake finds time to manage the security for JW Paper and is quick to alert us to any potential squirrel invasions.

WHY JW PAPER?

HOW I GOT STARTED

I have always loved planning events from volunteer opportunities to family gatherings and baby showers. When I got engaged I was able to plan my own wedding. Weddings can be pretty expensive, and in an effort to save money where we could, my now husband and I decided to print all of our “day of” wedding paper ourselves. We had our invitations professionally done and used them as a template (the font styles, colors, etc.) to create the rest of the paper we wanted. For our wedding day we designed, printed and cut over nine different types of paper products including ceremony programs, signs, escort cards and “do not disturb” signs. In the end we did the math and saved thousands, but even better than that, I realized how much I truly enjoyed the entire creative and creation process. I began to create other types of work for friends, still enjoying every minute, and then decided to turn my hobby into a business.

MY MISSION

My mission is to create simple and elegant designs. I believe the purpose of paper is to relay information to others, but also convey a vibe regarding the event at the same time. Have an idea or feel you’re going for, but aren’t sure how to execute it? I will work with you to completely customize what you need for your event. Let’s work together to make your unique visions come to life!
